FAQ

What is the benefit of Cold CO2 Extraction?

All other extraction processes, even super critical CO2 extraction, have to use alcohol downstream to post process the oil from the hemp plant. The process is called winterization. This is basically removing high levels of fats, waxes, lipids and chlorophyll to concentrate the oil on cannabinoids like CBD, CBC and CBG. With Cold CO2 extraction we don’t have to do that. We have formulated our products by taking the oil direct from the machine, blending it with organic coconut oil (MCT) to the right level and sometimes adding back organic terpenes for desired formulation and that’s it. The reason we can do this is that with Cold CO2 extraction we precisely control the extraction variables of temperature, pressure and time and leave behind the unwanted fats, waxes, etc., so we don’t need the additional step of solvent based winterization. Any time a solvent, even organic, is added to the formulation process of a natural product there will be changes to that formulation such as natural terpene loss and other effects that will degrade the quality and effectiveness of the end products.

What is CBD?

CBD Is a cannabidiol (“CBD”) oil derived from hemp grown in the Midwest and the surrounding areas without the use of harmful pesticides and herbicides. Our industrial hemp strain is chosen for its high levels of CBD attributes, setting these products ahead of all others. Our local hemp producers use family farm type care to produce a dependable & high-quality product. We utilize certified third-party test facilities on each lot of material, to ensure only the highest quality products arrive at your doorstep.

CBD is one of hundreds of compounds found in the Cannabis plant and provides many potential wellness benefits. CBD along with other specific cannabinoids bind to the cannabinoid receptor sites found in the human body that make up the Endocannabinoid System (ECS).

What is the Endocannabinoid System (ECS)?

The ECS system is an integral part of natural human physiology and controls multiple physiological and mental processes. The ECS regulates the brain and immune system and reacts positively to Cannabinoids-CBD, which assists in helping to keep us healthy.

When you ingest CBD Oil under your tongue, it metabolizes and attaches to ECS receptors known as CB1 (cannabinoid type 1) and CB2 (cannabinoid type 2).

CB1 receptors are primarily found in your brain and central nervous system. CB2 receptors are more commonly found in peripheral organs, especially cells associated with the immune system. Both ECS cannabinoid receptors combine to help regulate bodily functions such as pain management, mood stability, appetite, inflammatory response, sleep cycle and much more. CBD Oil stimulates these receptors when taken and may positively impact your body. Your body naturally produces cannabinoids, and CBD helps bind other receptors to generate beneficial effects. Ultimately, taking Cannabidiol has the potential to maintain or even improve your overall health and well-being.

Our CBD products are 100% legal and safe to consume. There is no measurable amount of tetrahydrocannabinal (THC) resulting in no psychoactive properties commonly found in recreational hemp. In short, there is no “high” or intoxicated feeling to users. To promote overall wellbeing, our CBD oil contains naturally occurring cannabidiol, terpenes and other cannabinoids. All our products comply with the United States’ federal laws regarding cannabinoid content.

We select and work with only qualified hemp growers that pass our stringent standards. We use the industry best manufacturing practices and focus on maximum quality control. All oils are extracted with Cold CO2 as the extraction media, and we track each batch through our process by specific lot number. Our third-party certified test labs, then confirm the purity contents of each lot.

What is optimal dosage of CBD Oil?

An effective dosage can range from as little as a few milligrams of CBD-enriched cannabis oil, to a gram or more. Listen to your body. If you need more, gradually take more. Start with 1-5 drops under the tongue, and let it absorb for 15-45 seconds. The goal is to introduce the oil into your blood stream as quickly as possible, and this can effectively be done via the two large veins under your tongue. We also suggest taking as a regiment in the form of a few small doses over the course of the day rather than one big dose. Use the same dose and ratio for several days, observe the effects, and adjust the ratio or amount if necessary. If you are adding it to food or beverages it may take a little longer for effectiveness, because the oil must then be absorbed through your stomach lining.

Is CBD Legal?

Our CBD Hemp Oil is 100% LEGAL under Section 7606 of the 2014 U.S. Farm Bill, which legalized industrial hemp for CBD purposes.

Why is our CBD Oil different?

We are superior for many reasons. We only use the highest quality strains of Hemp with the best wellness cannabinoids. We take extra measures to ensure utmost quality in every step. We extract oils using the proprietary Cold CO2 extraction process, which is designed to extract only the desirable full spectrum cannabinoids and terpenes; all with minimal secondary processing. All lot sizes are traceable and tracked to a third-party test result. Our facilities are clean, and our technicians are the best in the industry.

Is CBD natural?

There is nothing synthetic about CBD, it is a completely natural compound found within the Cannabis Plant Family.

Can I give CBD to my pets?

Our CBD oil will help your pet relax and remain in control; while helping aggression disorders, allergies, behavioral issues, digestive problems, pain, self-trauma, separation issues, and urinating problems. As pets’ weight are different than humans, lighter doses should be used to start. Veterinarians often recommended giving pets CBD Oil for at least two weeks, so their metabolism acclimates to the effects of hemp. Consult your vet if your pet is pregnant or lactating before introducing Hemp for dogs in their daily diet.

Can these products make me fail a drug test?

We are not able to make any claims on whether any of our products will show up on a drug test. Typically, Isolate, Terpsolate, Isolate Softgels and Capsules have no detectable THC. Some of our Tinctures and other products are made with a Full Spectrum CBD Oil and to be federally legal they must contain less than 0.3% THC. We are not legally able to make any recommendations or guarantees regarding drug tests on THC free or Full Spectrum products. If that is a concern, we would recommend not consuming any CBD products and/or doing some further research before making the decision to consume any CBD products.

Cooking with CBD?

CBD infused oils are great for cooking applications.

Where can I find medical studies on CBD?

You can easily Google the benefits of CBD and find many studies online.

Hemp vs Marijuana

Hemp and Marijuana are both members of the Cannabis family. Hemp is different from Marijuana in its application, function and cultivation. In 1970, political leaders naively grouped all cannabis species as a Schedule I drug and banned it under the Controlled Substances Act. Legislation is now in place to correct these errors of the past, legalizing the distribution of hemp in all 50 states. Marijuana contains higher levels of tetrahydrocannabinal (THC), a substance that causes psychoactive effects. An industrial Hemp plant contains less than 0.3% THC, while marijuana plants can contain from 10% to 40% of this drug. The appearance of these two plants may be similar, but their effect on us is significantly different.

Why Choose Amberwing Organics by NJ Farms

1. We only sell Full Spectrum: Full spectrum CBD oil includes a wide range of cannabinoids present in the hemp plant that provide a greater effect than CBD alone, as all the cannabinoids work together. There are over 100 ‘identified’ compounds in the cannabis plant, and while
most of these compounds have their own therapeutic benefit, they combine synergistically to provide a far better performance than any single compound, including CBD. Full spectrum CBD also contains a variety of essential vitamins, minerals, fatty acids, protein, chlorophyll, terpenes, flavonoids, and fiber. Studies that compare the performance of full spectrum CBD extract with CBD alone conclude that full spectrum is more effective when fighting pain and other conditions.

2. Our partner farmers use no harmful chemicals such as pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides. Our additives contain no preservatives, emulsifiers, and all flavorings are all-natural. All of our products are truly pure and natural.

3. Cold CO2TM All-Natural Extraction Process: The hemp dry mass of buds from our fields is processed in a proprietary Cold CO2TM Extraction process. At low processing temperatures and pressures, we are able to more selectively extract the desired cannabinoids and terpenes,
which greatly reduces the amount of down stream processing, which ultimately allows us to create a more
natural and healthier end product.

4. Locally Grown: All of our products are locally grown. Nothing is imported from outside of the USA. Our farms are located in the Midwest where the cooler temperatures support hearty hemp varieties with exceptional cannabinoids and terpenes.

5. Testing by 3rd Party: All of our products are tested, of which contents are confirmed by 3rd party facilities, and such reports are available on our site.

6. Family Team: We are a large family of friends, relatives, and neighbors in a small-town community, dedicated to providing the best products, and the friendliest customer service.
